What should we do and where should we stay in Scottsdale AZ?

Planning a trip to Phoenix or Scottsdale Arizona? I've got all the info below to plan the perfect trip!

Where Should We Stay?

Im a huge Airbnb fan! Its SO much better than staying in a hotel! I like getting to stay in a house where I feel more "at home." This time our family was staying with us for a couple of days while on the trip so we chose a larger place than we usually do. 3 Bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. This place was right in the middle of everything in Scottsdale, locations is HUGE for us as we love to explore the city. It's always a must have to get a place with a pool, especially in the summer where temperatures are super high. This trip we had in Feb. was the perfect weather 68-75 degrees the entire time! Although I didn't get to use the pool this time I will for sure stay here again in the future and use it during the summertime. It was also fun to have a dart board, pool table, and horse shoe game for late nights out by the fire pit. The hosts of this home were so easy to work with and were available day or night if I needed anything!

Need a rental car?

Rental cars are SO expensive when going through the traditional outlets providing rentals. I found this new app called TURO. This is basically airbnb for CARS!!! We decided to drive in style while in Scottsdale and rented this Tesla Model 3 2020. We LOVED it.

Make sure when planning your trip to look at all the options for hiking! We got to explore the desert and see so many cactus. We went to two hiking spots on the same day.

-Hole in the Rock

-Papago

Where should we eat breakfast?

BEST AVOCADO TOAST EVER!

The First Watch Tempe

What was my favorite part of the trip?

Hands down one of my favorite parts of the trip was going to the Phoenix Zoo. My husband and myself are huge animal people.

(I mean we own a farm if that tells you anything LOL)

I always find myself going to a zoo every time we go to a new city. This was a really different experience as they have CAMEL RIDES!

Wine anyone?

Okay so I have two favorites lol. My other favorite thing we did was go to Sedona AZ to checkout Page Springs Vineyards! Im not joking you when I say they have THE BEST CHARCUTERIE BOARD I have ever had in my life! I don't think anyone will ever be able to top it! I will for sure be going back there when I come back to AZ its worth a day drive TRUST ME! One of the wines I had was so amazing I had some shipped back to me! You can even order it online!

Do we have some golfers in the house?

TPC Scottsdale is a 36-hole golf complex in the southwestern United States, located in Scottsdale, Arizona, northeast of Phoenix.

Opened 35 years ago in 1986, the resort is part of the Tournament Players Club network of golf courses operated by the PGA Tour. The Stadium Course has been home to the tour's annual Phoenix Open since 1987. For my hubby this was his favorite part of the trip he LOVES golf. Plus the pros played the week before at this exact corse!

Where should we eat Dinner?

We have eaten at so many good restaurants since we have been here but my favorite was this Italian place called The Sicilian Butcher. Y'all words cannot explain how authentic Italian this food truly is. Let me put it this way once we ate there we decided to eat there every night for the rest of our trip. LOL. So in total we ate there 4 times. Yes its THAT GOOD! The wine is fantastic. What did I get you ask? I got the Sausage meatballs with gnocchi and Vodka Cream Sauce! (Christopher and myself split the meatballs and gnocchi so this was only half it comes with 3 meatballs and double the gnocchi that you see below)

Best mixed beverages?

Surprisingly we stumbled upon this place with amazing drinks. The place is located inside the Desert Botanical Gardens. My favorite drink was the Jalapeño margarita. It had just enough spice but wasn't overbearing. Usually they are too hot for me! We spent an hour or so walking around the Botanical Gardens seeing all sorts of Cactus and different desert plants which was pretty cool. Then we decided to stop at Gertrude's on the way out and ordered an appetizer and drinks and they were delicious!
