What temperature should I use?
The 1.25" iron has four settings — 300°, 350°, 375° and 400°F — and the Iron Pro adjusts from 300° to 400°F. On a hairpiece, start at the lowest setting and only go up if you need to. Lower heat protects the cuticle and extends the life of the hair.
How fast do they heat up, and is there a shut-off?
The 1.25" iron uses a PTC ceramic heater and reaches temperature in about 30 seconds; the Iron Pro is ready in 55 seconds. The 1.25" shuts itself off after 30 minutes of non-use and has a 360° swivel cord.
Will these work outside the United States?
